i actually have played honestly through the game so far. i dont need to rely on exploits or cheats because of lack of skill. i know many people can and will do it faster than me but oh well

I have over 8,000 fame on my main acct, I'm the leader of a top 100 guild, played in top 10 guilds, i was one of the first people to get the survivor title, and the indomitable survivor title, i had over 4 mil exp on my monk, i have about 6 mil in my stroage, fissure on 2 chars

now, tell me what you have done.

Well, regardless what they did as an exp exploit, with that time, I can't imagine it required much skill on the "survivor"'s part.

EVen if you had 999999 fow armor, was the leader of war machine, ate gold plated cherries irl, it still dosen't require skills if you just asked a friend to level you to get the survivor title. If you got the survivor title first by doing everything yourself, that's fine. But if you told your friend "yo go plvl me lol i want srvvrv title" then that's not cool, no matter how much stuff you've done. I'm sure you feel awesome irl by writing lists of stuff you've accomplished in a video game on an internet forum, but by no means would it justify an easily acquired survivor title. The title was meant to be given to people who level by playing the game normally.

The guy posted the exact same stuff in GWonline.net.. apparently he did it by zoning in and out Seitung Harbor and killing mobs or some wack.

Oh sure, that's a lot of 'skill'... at mouse-clicking maybe.

I like the accomplishment of "abusing" the game system.

(or better: using it to its maximum extend. :P )

While it is no "hard earned work" in the sense of mind boggling boring hours over hours of farming, it IS something only few would be able to pull off.

Why it is more skill to take ages for the title and leave groups if you could die?

Rank is a stupid farmable resource, yet many value it very high no matter how stupid and incompetent the rank bearer is.

The Survivor Title is indeed a joke, but not for the reason listed in the original post.

It's a joke because it's impossible to get it on your old main character (the only place where it matters) because for some bizarre reason Anet chose to discriminate against old characters with this Title and deny them any opportunity to earn it.

The title of the thread proclaims the title to be a joke, yet other guildie steps in and proclaims the leet skill required to obtain it. If it's a joke, it really can't take that much 'skill', eh?

It's the inferred tone of the original posts that's pissing people off, in my opinion.

I get the feeling that you're bragging about how elite you are, when it's NOT elite the method you used to get the level 2 title.

However, it IS cool that you found a way to easily do it AND trick the age system. Maybe if you had approached it from THAT angle instead of the "zomg, look at me, I r special top 100 guild"...

The only redemption I can see for you is viewing it as "hah, fun" and seeing if you can max out the title.

I really don't get the point you're trying to make...

1. You're trying to tell us it doesn't take long to earn the title and it is therefor a joke.

-> You admitted yourself you were 'cheating' the age counter. It however DID take you a long time.

2. You're trying to tell us there are 'exploits' to earn the title and it is therefor a joke.

-> Really, if there are exploits to earn the title then those exploits should get locked down. It doesn't diminish the value of the title itself.

3. You just thought it was cool to cheat the timer and do the same quest a gazillion times and decided to share that with us.

-> Fine by me, but then plz change the title of this topic cause it's rather misleading.
